How to use this checklist

  1. Edit the tasks to match the site's scope of work. Delete what you don't do; nobody should sign off work that was never scheduled.
  2. Print one sheet per area and post it where the work happens. Daily sheets last a week, weekly sheets a month.
  3. Have the cleaner initial each box as they finish. A supervisor spot-checks and signs the bottom.
  4. File completed sheets by site. When a client asks "was it done?", the answer is in the folder.

Tips from the field

  • Agree a clear-desk policy so cleaners can wipe surfaces without moving documents.
  • Colour-code microfibre cloths: one colour for desks, another for kitchen, another for washrooms.
  • Log periodic work (carpet extraction, floor refinishing) with a date so the client can see it was done.
