How to use this checklist

  1. Edit the tasks to match the site's scope of work. Delete what you don't do; nobody should sign off work that was never scheduled.
  2. Print one sheet per area and post it where the work happens. Daily sheets last a week, weekly sheets a month.
  3. Have the cleaner initial each box as they finish. A supervisor spot-checks and signs the bottom.
  4. File completed sheets by site. When a client asks "was it done?", the answer is in the folder.

Tips from the field

  • Entrance matting captures most of the soil that would otherwise wear the lobby floor; keep it on the daily list.
  • Elevators and stairwells are where tenant complaints come from; give them their own sign-off line.
  • A public "last cleaned" notice in the lobby washroom turns the checklist into a tenant-facing promise.
