How to use this checklist

  1. Edit the tasks to match the site's scope of work. Delete what you don't do; nobody should sign off work that was never scheduled.
  2. Print one sheet per area and post it where the work happens. Daily sheets last a week, weekly sheets a month.
  3. Have the cleaner initial each box as they finish. A supervisor spot-checks and signs the bottom.
  4. File completed sheets by site. When a client asks "was it done?", the answer is in the folder.

Tips from the field

  • Put the deep-clean rotation on a calendar: a sixteenth of the rooms each week covers every room each quarter.
  • Lost-and-found items and maintenance defects belong on the checklist as reportable lines, not memory.
  • Supervisors should spot-inspect a sample of rooms each day and score them; it is the only reliable way to find training gaps.
